About Dr Stephen Currin
Dr Stephen Currin is a Specialist Radiologist and Clinical Director for I-MED Radiology Network in Coffs Harbour, with sub-specialty expertise in MRI, particularly musculoskeletal MRI, abdominopelvic MRI and oncologic imaging.
Dr Currin is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He completed his medical degree at the University of Otago and Radiology training in New Zealand. This was followed by advanced MRI-focused fellowships in abdominal imaging at the Ottawa Hospital (where he was awarded Fellow of the Year) and musculoskeletal MRI in the United States under world renowned Dr Stephen Pomeranz.
Dr Currin contributes to the local oncology MDT and is actively involved in education, delivering orthopaedic/sports medicine MRI teaching across the Mid North Coast and serves as an online educational faculty member for Medality, contributing to global MRI education in prostate MRI. He is also an external clinical advisor to the Health Care Complaints Commission. He has published in several international peer-reviewed journals.
