About Dr Ben Sparreboom
Dr Ben Sparreboom completed his MD at Griffith University in 2014. His resident years were spent in North Coast NSW and the Gold Coast, which included a 9 month role working in intensive care as a Principal House Officer.
Dr Sparreboom gained his fellowship with RANZCR in 2022 at the PA Hospital, rotating through various hospitals around Brisbane. Following this he completed a musculoskeletal MRI fellowship with I-MED.
Dr Sparreboom is a general radiologist with special interests in musculoskeletal imaging, diagnostic radiology in the emergency/inpatient setting and image guided interventional procedures, particularly those focussed on pain management.
When asked what drew him to radiology Dr Sparreboom says “The involvement and importance of the role radiology has in a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. I enjoy a lot of different areas of medicine and surgery so instead of choosing just one of those, I figured radiology would allow me to be part of most specialties in a unique way.”
